Is DHS Zinc Shampoo to be used every day?

We recommend using DHS Zinc, DHS SAL, and DHS Tar Shampoos three times each week, or as recommended by your doctor. We suggest using either our DHS Regular or Clear Shampoo during the “off” days.

Is it safe for color treated hair?

DHS medicated shampoos are not guaranteed to be color safe. Please try our DHS Color Safe Shampoo and DHS Color Safe Rinse that work very well together.

How long should this remain in the hair before rinsing?

We suggest letting the medicated shampoos remain on the scalp for approximately 3-5 minutes or as suggested by your dermatologist or primary care physician.

How does it smell?

DHS Zinc Shampoo contains a mild botanical fragrance.

Does it dry out your hair?

Our medicated shampoos should be used between 3-4 times a week or as suggested by your dermatologist or primary care physician. If this product is used in excess, it may cause potential drying of the scalp and hair.
