Juicy tangerine with hints of vanilla…the unique scent of roman chamomile lends a calming note. Packed full of amazing cold pressed oils to moisturize and protect. Yes, many swipes will indeed give your lips a whiteish tint. This shows that the zinc barrier is present and that is good. If your lips aren’t slightly whitened, they are not protected. There is no GRASE (Generally Recognized As Safe and Effective) approved sunscreen that is clear!

SPF 15 broad spectrum sun protection:

Here’s the deal with Zinc Oxide. We use non-nano zinc oxide in our Sun Balm. Zinc oxide is the only all natural, broad spectrum (blocks both UVA and UVB) sun screen available today. As of 2019, zinc oxide is one of only two GRASE (Generally Recognized As Safe and Effective) ingredients for sun protection. Zinc oxide is a mineral. It protects your lips by sitting on top of them and thus, provides a physical barrier against UVA and UVB rays.

Our SPF 15 factor is verified biennially by a 3rd party lab.

*Just a few swipes of Sun Balm are needed for protection, many swipes will indeed give your lips a extra white tint, which is fine too. Be sure to apply it often for protection and to keep that physical zinc barrier present. *Due to the herbal extracts and zinc (mineral) constitutions we use in the Sun Balm, variations in color may occur and is normal.
