Why does Straight Silk Spray protect hair from heat?
Straight Silk Spray is formulated and tested to protect hair at temperatures up to 450F degrees when used with specific styling instruments. This consists of one pass at maximum heat setting for blow drying and flat ironing. Curling iron is tested at 8 seconds per hair section at maximum heat setting. These laboratory tests are based on the average maximum heat setting for styling instruments of up to 450F degrees and is not recommended for use with instruments with higher than stated maximum operating temperatures.

The ingredients in Straight Silk Spray do not contain any harsh chemicals, alcohol or any other substances known to be damaging to hair.
